Tree Stars stems from the imagination of composer/guitarist Tristan Gianola with their new take on “chamber music”. This ensemble, composed of eight musicians, performs original music written by Gianola as a contemporary electro-acoustic chamber ensemble

HÄXAN

In 2019 Tristan Gianola composed their own score to the Benjamin Christensen’s 1922 silent film masterpiece Häxan for an electro-acoustic chamber ensemble featuring oboe, clarinet/bass clarinet, string trio, two xylophones, percussion, soprano with effects and themselves on electric guitar.

IMPOSSIBLE PLANETS

Featuring Tristan Gianola (guitar), Andy Page (alto saxophone), Sean Weber (bass) and Jake Gartenstein (drums), Impossible Planets is composer/guitarist Tristan Gianola’s jazz-inspired quartet exploring compositions from contemporary giants as well as Gianola’s original compositions.

Highlighting Gianola's compositions, a mix of classics by the likes of Medeski Martin & Wood to Dr. Lonnie Smith, and a collection of works by contemporary living composers, the Tristan Gianola Quartet puts on fun and engaging performances with grooving instrumental music of the 21st century.
