IMPOSSIBLE PLANETS

Composer/guitarist Tristan Gianola’s Impossible Planets is a New Orleans based Jazz quartet featuring Gianola along side Andy Page on alto saxophone, Sean Weber on bass and Jacob Gartenstein on the drums. With the core of the project being the quartet, the ensemble morphs into different ensembles featuring other guest players, all under the name Impossible Planets performing Gianola’s concoction of “ethereal jazz”. This project explores Gianola’s unique palette of sounds on the guitar through their own compositions as well as arrangements of music by both living and past composers.
